Hitting & pinching

My 4 year old son.. we have his asd panel decision date next Monday 8th March. The last few months he has been more aggressive, hitting myself his dad and siblings a lot more and pinching. He also hits himself. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with aggression? Thank you 

  • It is almost certainly a sensory thing. Soething will be bothering him that you have not considered. 

    My friends have a boy who is exactly the same and they they can't work out why. He is big now and a hit or pinch can hurt or injure in an instant. 

    Turns out - they have moved house about 5 times in the last 8 years. and every house has been renovated inside and out and extended. So the boy has never ever had any stability in his environment - ever. He is still non verbal and self harms all day long if he's allowed. 

    So think anout what could be making him uncomfortable and stressing him out.
