ABA therapy - London

Hello,

Has anyone here tried ABA therapy? if so, would you recommend it? what are the pros / cons?

I have come across a few social accounts of mothers raving about ABA therapy progress, and thought I would look into it for my 3 and a half year old who still isn't diagnosed.

I would love to hear any feedback / comments on ABA. and any advice you might have to offer.

Eg. best places to go for it in London? ways to have it funded etc. is it best full time / part time, or done on the weekends? would love to know all.

  • I think you will find most autistics strongly disagree with ABA therapy as they way it works is rewarding the behaviour they want rather than helping cope with the behaviour ect. Heard few horror stories about ABA too and seems most people who had it were kids whose parents put them in it rather than someone choosing to do it for themselves...
