aspergers and toilet problem

hi all my son is 8 and has a diagnosis of aspergers. He has meet all his developmental targets since birth but recently it seems he is regressing back to a toddler. He has soiled himself at school 2 times this week and he sometimes refuses to use his fork at meal times saying that babies dont use a fork or spoon (we dont let him have a knife at mealtimes as he self harms) he sometimes wont get dressed unless we get him dressed we have no idea where this is coming from and we are very concerned. We are waiting to see CAMHS again but that could be months before we get an appointment ive taken him to the doctor 3 times and they just keep saying we have to wait for CAMHS does anyone have any adive please thank you x

    This could be a clue.

We on the spectrum can be very literally minded.

For example, when I was very young my parents taught us that "Children should be seen and not heard" and so I never expressed how much I was struggling and the difficulties I was having.

Could it be that someone, perhaps another child at school, has called him a baby, and he has taken that literally?
