How to talk to people about a diagnosis

Months after my daughters diagnosis im yet to tell any family (bar my mum) and almost all of my friends.

I can not find the words or the right situation to prompt me to talk about it.

How did you all let people know?

Be well

  • Sometimes a txt message helps to just get it out there x once you have broken down the boundry to tell acouple of people you may find it alot easier x im sure at 1st its an emotional rollercoaster for all parents x It will be a year in march since we realised r boy 4 was asd and throughout that time no-one has been negative about it x the main frustraiton i find is that some ppl are ignorant and just think my child is not autistic . They r just quite sad tho thats the best way i can look at it x Most ppl are very caring tho , once you open up you would be so suprized how common it is and affects so many familys . Autism awareness is on the rise hope you manage to open up and get somesupport from your family and friends xx
