EHCP application — moving LA?

In the early stages of attempting to obtain an EHCP for my child. 7 months in and LA have agreed to assess.

For a variety of reasons, we are seriously considering moving house which would mean changing LA.

My question is: how does this affect our application? I have found lots of information about transferring an EHCP; nothing about what happens if the plan has not even been agreed. My instinct is that we would have to start all over again.

Anybody have any experience / knowledge of this situation?

Hi Mack,

I'm not sure of the answer to this question myself, but the NAS does operate an Education Rights Service, which provides impartial and confidential information and support to families on school education rights and entitlements, who I think might be able to help answer your question.
