can anyone recommend a 5 point carseat for my 5 yr old son? he is in the proccess of being diagnosed. the problem I have is he is too big with his coat on for the straps on our standard size seat & although I now have him on a booster instead, he keeps taking off the seatbelt! Am searching the internet for a proper carseat that will hold him in! 

  • My son who is six has ASD and was always climbing out of his booster seat, so we bought a britax special needs car seat from halfords on line, it has a 5 point harness and he is able to use it until he is eleven. Only problem is that it was quite expensive but he is much safer and we dont have to worry about him being able to climb out.

  • Have you looked into using a harness with the booster seat instead?
