My 6 year old keeps removing his clothes when going to the toilet

Hello, this is my first post. I have a 6 year old son who has ASD. He keeps removing his clothes just before he use's the toilet. 

I have just managed to keep his top on, even though he tries to remove it before he sits on the toilet. He will keep it on when I tell him to which is a start.

Do you have any tips and tricks that may help with this.

  • There may be two things here either he thinks he might soil them or he has it in his thinking that he has to take his clothes off. Best approach is to calmly remind him before he enters the toilet that he can keep the top on but only take the trousers and pants off. He may not remember but if you keep telling him and then reward him with a biscuit .
