Awaiting Diagnosis / UC and PIP

Hello

Can anyone tell me if they have experience of claiming Universal Credits and PIP when awaiting a diagnosis.

Have started the process for my child however I'm told without a sick note I can forget UC and I'm now wondering if my child will be eligible for PIP with or without a diagnosis.
