Fed up! Draft is taking too long!!!!

Bounce and Bumblebee had their draft statements done the same week 4 weeks ago, Bumblebees came day after it was checked over a few days after been done, Bounces however is still with member of staff for coming upto 4 weeks awaiting to be checked over before being sent out. SENARS has said there is no issue with it so why in the hell is it taking so long!!!!!

SENARS are very well aware of the issues at current school and know that the aim was to get them out of their by end of this term now we are looking at next year :( even eduaction department for transfer of schoo, for fouler (nt) is taking way too long! its been over 6 weeks now and not one letter from them, phoned them up to get answer message saying I should hear within 5 days of receiving request but nothink!!!!

All I want is for them to get the help they needand for Bounce to have a full time education that he is entitled to (currently only allowed 2hrs and 45 mins by current school!!! :(   ). Even my health is getting worse and demands of other kids is more on me now support workers for older 2 are barely doing crap for them!!!! (why i dont now, but can never get to talk to them has they are either on visists or on annual leave!!)

Would just like for once to have the neccessary support and eduaction my kids are entitled to and a little less time running back and forth 9 miles every day!!!!

  • hi Tiredeyes - many on here will understand your frustration, esp about something so important.  In many ways it's quite clear what families need, once the info's been gathered together, but then it can go wrong, either because of ignorance or personalities coming into play who have their own ideas about things + the power to implement those ideas, or because of drastic budget cuts, or because people are away from the job in some respect.  Whatever the reasons, it does the child + parent(s) no good at all, in many ways.  I don't think there's a lot worse in life than feeling powerless.  But we have to keep battling on to get there.   You could make a formal complaint.  Hope things improve soon.  bw
