What are your Christmas plans?

I'm just being nosey really, but what are your plans for Christmas?

We're staying at home on Christmas day and doing the usual dinner and lazing in front of the TV.

I refuse to visit anyone because kiddo doesn't like visiting people and constantly drags me to the door because he wants to go home, so for that reason, and wanting the day to be as relaxed and fun as possible, we aint going out! Plus we have 4 younguns who want to stay at home and play with all their new stuff.

We are going to my Mum and Dads on boxing day (annual tradition) but i'm going prepared with my laptop then if kiddo gets a bit nangy, i can occupy him with youtube (he's music obsessive!).

That's my plans...what are yours? :)

  • we stay at home, having no car and 7 kids its a nytemare to even contemplate spending xmas anywhere else. The kids dad usually pops by and kids have a great tyme enjoying their gifts and ignoring their father (hahahaha - he can be a bit of a pain!!!). Bounce cant deal with lots of people in one room so this year we are starting to learn to accomodate him (was only dx in June). Has usuall its gonna be a very mad day in deed with lots of noise and mayhem!! :) wouldnt have it any other way :)

  • we are all staying put at home, much easier that way, the kids are more comfortable and can play with their new things all day

    i will of course be making the most of the one day of the year where i can attempt to drink the entire bottle of bailys without feeling like an alcoholic Laughing

    Fortunately my husband and I both have our parents living close by, but unfortunately they do not get on (my parents and his parents)!!  Every year we alternate who we spend Christmas Day with, and this year we are staying home : my parents are coming for late breakfast, and his parents are coming for late lunch (3 pm).  It works.  Boxing Day we are having dinner with my parents, then tea with his parents (that's tradition!).  New Year's Eve for the last 4 years has been spent at my parents - they cook a meal, we have massive Wii competition and we stay there overnight.  My daughter is 16 and she's our only one, so she is now old enough to join in and doesn't mind not spending it at home - when she was younger she hated leaving her presents!!

    I think at Christmas you have to do what works for you - and when your children are happy then we parents are relaxed and happy!  Enjoy! x
