Hi. New to the forum. Really, really beginning to struggle at home with my autistic son... He is 8 and attends special school (took him out as wife has Huntingtons disease and she has been told by docs and gov. UK to stay in the house for 12 weeks, don't want her catching anything and reducing the chance of this (shielding))
Anyway i work in fresh food factory. Not glamorous but pays the bills. Wife has shown onset of her illness symptoms, she no longer cooks, needs help around the home etc) anyway my son is struggling, he doesn't understand the world at all, thinks its my fault he can't go out. He was diagnosed when he had just turned 5 years old. I've come. Home to the house in various states.. My wife cannot always change my son as he wears nappies, due to her terminal illness she is really struggling. My son is struggling.
I'm scarred to death of going to work.. Its a 3 shift factory, employs over 500 over them. We're still handing over face to face with the other shifts and hardly any social distancing is being adheard to. I'm. Petrified of bringing anything home with me.. Work have said they won't and are not obliged to pay me if I take longer than 2 weeks self isolation off (which I cannot do unless I show covid19 symptoms) I can't afford to be seen out the hours if I Self isolate. We have. Little family around us.
Please guys just advise me as I'm at my witts end mentally and physically at the minute.
