my lovely 4 year old is awaiting diagnosis, we have accepted he’s ASD, he has always being behind developmentally but everything seem to speed up last summer when our second son was born. He almost went through a depression, never happy (coincided with change in nursery), luckily he’s got over that. One of the hardest things is he has pretty much stopped talking, he now only talks on single words (out of context) and not functionally, eg. Doesn’t ask for things he used to, just takes our hands and takes us to get things. He sometimes has complete meltdowns as we don’t know what it over! Me and my husband get quite upset when we look back at videos. We are starting pecs (luckily I am a SEN teacher so I know what I am doing).....hoping for some success stories or advice for what to do? Thank you all in advance
