Not taking GCSE exams advice please

Hi, we have had my sons aspergers home visit today and the lady agreed he should not be taking his exams, he should be concentrating on course work, as it has such a huge impact on him. Has anyone less child not done exams ands gone through on coursework?. I have a meeting with the head on Wednesday an he isnt happy with us as he knows what we want, cahms have been brill and offered to back me up at the meeting, but it would be good to here from others that have been through this

  • This is quite strange because people with AS tend to be much better at exams than coursework. Some evidence exists that the all examination O Level or IGCSE is more suited towards people with an AS mindset than the GCSE is which is designed to be more populist and geared towards the NT masses.

    I have A Levels but I didn't take GCSEs because I was home educated.
