Non stop whistling and still spitting

My 10 year old son has started whistling all the time. Not just whistling tunes but as reactions to things as well. Being autistic myself he is hitting pitches that physically hurt me and its getting really annoying. I have asked him to stop and explained how it makes me feel but it hasn't worked.

His spitting still hasn't stopped. He walked out of his art teacher's house and spat on her front step in front of her. It was so embarrassing.

Any ideas ?
