New here- has anybody had similar experiences

Hi,

I’m new, I have 5 children, my 7 year old has ASD and was diagnosed at 3, he saw the paediatrician aged 19 months and started assessments from then. I knew very early on that there was something different about him- even as early as 4 months old he wouldn’t give any eye contact, no shared engagement etc and then as he grew , more signs became obvious so I reached out to my HV at 14 months & she said he was quite delayed so referred us to a paediatrician .

Anyway he is now 7 and has ongoing support which is good and positive.

However in the past couple of weeks I’ve become concerned about my 7.5 month old, she spends a lot of time flexing her fingers in front of her eyes, and rotating her wrists infront of her face, look out the corner of her eyes. She doesn’t respond to her name yet. She does smile. And I have this gut instinct , just like I did with my other child.

Has anybody had a similar experience with their children? I’ve not reached out to the HV yet as she’s still so young.
