Courses for parents with a child with an ASD - Essex area

Hi,

I have an 8 years old with ASD and i'm looking to find a parenting course I can attend, Ideally one specifically focused on ASD etc.

I've looked across many websites including NAS, Essex/local council provisions, AutismLinks etc, but I can't pin down a specific provision in the Essex area, ideally in south Essex.

Can anyone make any recommendations of any good provisions they know or how I might better go about sourcing one?

Failing that I might try the general understanding autism course on FutureLearn, but I was hoping for something specific to parenting.

No worries! Hopefully it’s £70/course as £70/week seems a bit steep! They run coffee mornings for parents too and have a comprehensive list of other local resources for people with additional needs:

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. I have found this group and sent them a message today. The 12 week course looks good but I couldn't work out if it was £70 a course or £70 per week! I'll see what they confirm.

Hi! I also live in Essex and both myself and my youngest daughter have ASD. The MAZE group run a course for parents which is highly recommended by both parents and professionals
