We have told our 8yo his diagnosis which seemed to go well. He has mentioned it to a few of his friends which we are taking as a good sign. We would like to run a session with his friends/class so that all the kids are getting good info about autism. Any tips would be most appreciated. Any good videos/teacher resources?Has anyone used the resources provided by NAS? Are they good? Thanks Jen
If you're interested in using information from NAS to teach your son's friends about autism, a good place to start might be the 'What is Autism' section of the site - https://www.autism.org.uk/about/what-is/asd.aspx - which has a short video on the subject and three leaflets to read, 'I am Autistic', 'Understanding Autism' and 'Children on the Spectrum'.
