Overnight care

Hi

I am the co-parent of a 15 year old boy with an ASD diagnosis.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience of looking for or using overnight care services, either from a local authority or a 3rd party provider?PParticularly if you live in Herefordshire.

Many thanks

  • I don't live in Herefordshire, but I'll tell you how it was for us. I married a woman who already had a child with ASD. We tried for five years to cope on our own, I couldn't have kids, so I tried my best to be a good father. But the baby wasn't native, any screaming was annoying. I'm sorry to write like this, but it's really hard. Other people's kids are hard to love, especially sick ones. We contacted my wife's ex-husband because he worked with troubled teens and knew people in certain circles who might have acquaintances in this area. He took a long time to find a suitable option and we settled on a private center (Deleted by Mod). They provided an overnight nurse who practically lived with us. My wife and I slept well, we even tried not to wake up at night anymore, hoping for a nurse. She is a miracle.
