My 7 year old son won't go in his bedroom on his own, even though our living room is opposite and he can see us and vice versa. Any ideas on how to encourage him to go in his room would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi
That's what my son is like but he won't even go in his room to play or even to get his clothes though.
Hi my 9 year old son don't like going to bed on his own. He usto sleep in my bed till last year so was a long time getting him out of my bed. But I have to lie in his room once I know he asleep I go back in my room. Sometimes he can sleep all the way through or he gets up at 4am and comes in my bed but that's not all the time. But when I stay in his room I put relaxing music on for him from YouTube and it helps him sleep. But trying to find away of getting my son to go to sleep on his own with out me been in his room.
That sounds really good, I'll give it a try, thank you.
Hi. What about a pillow mist spray? I recommend the Bloom and Blossom ones from Boots, not too pricey. They feature 3 Roald Dahl characters and the Very Hungry Caterpillar on separate bottles. I have used the BFG ones for over 4 months and, each time I spray it on 1 of my pillows, it helps me to relax and sleep more easily.
We put glow lights in his room, fish tank and a projector light that Changes colours and play sounds hoping this would help, this still did not settle him.
it has been hard.
I feel for you, I have to sit with my son until he falls asleep, if he wakes he then sleeps in my room.
Hi wish I can help you with ideas, I am also have the same trouble with my son is 12 years old and I still have to sleep in his room, for a long time he was sleeping at the end of our bed.
