My son 13 attends a small independent mainstream school with small class sizes. Educational psychologist recently reported he has made absolutely no progress since he started there aged 11. He has a statement of special ed needs. The school is not meeting his needs but there dont seem to be any alternative schools in S W Wales. The Ed Psych says he needs a specialist school with class size no more than 8 - he has high functioning autism and dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia so needs a school with similar profiles peers. Residential is not an option as he is v much a home bird and would not leave his dog apart from the question of huge cost. The lea would never stump up the funds. Any advice ideas would be great.
