Good Afternoon All,
I am new to the forum and wanted to see if there were any others that have the same sort of issue.
My son is 6 and is low functioning. He was diagnosed at 2 years old and attends a specialist school, he has been eating things he shouldn’t for most of his life. It is mainly plants, grass, flowers and sometimes bits off of small trees. We get the occasional stone too. His school are aware and have actually assured me that he has someone following him in the playground but they cannot be watching him as well as they say because his nappy always contains bits from outside.
Today was the worst one and was like plant material all balled up in his nappy and a great big long bit that I actually had to slowly pull out! I’m getting really worried about it and it seems no matter how much noise I make with my worries to the school it doesn’t seem to improve! I’m petrified he will get an obstruction or something or eat something that will make him very ill. Has anyone else had any experience with this?
thanks
