Son is being bullied

Hi all, am new to this but felt needed advice and people seem very kind and helpful here. My son is 11 and diagnosed Aspergers. He has been being bullied since reception and is now in year 6! Am worried that I am not doing enough at home to support as he struggles to communicate his feelings. I am unsure of where to turn to for advice or help for him. Also his behaviour has understandably changed. He has started to flick his hands, is this something that I should be worried about? He used to bite his cloths but has stopped and changed to this flicking and swishing of his hands. Also he is hiding food, I never tell him off for this nor deny him food and have told him he is welcome to get what he would like but he still sneaking around to eat. Is this a typical behaviour?

  • I am no expert at all, where he is eating might be stressful for him maybe he just wants to eat in peace?

    The hand thing is stimming, it's something I do when I start becoming overwhelmed I tap my finger on a surface, drive everybody nuts, oh well. 

    Being bullied is crap thou that needs to be sorted

    I did wonder that, I know I like to munch crisp in peace so my youngest doesn’t steal them lol think I am now just over thinking his behaviour because of the situation! 
    I’ve just read about stimming, didn’t realise it was the same as his twirling! It just I feel once am used to one behaviour and realise it’s his normal he changes it and makes me worried! 
    I know it’s been years, school now bringing the parents in to talk to so am praying this time it stops! He such a sweet boy and the things they are doing is not fair and he sees it as ‘normal’ behaviour now which is sad!!

    Good I hope he gets the help with the bullying. 

    Once the little man has a safe routine everything will fall in place.
