Hello all – I'm sure this topic has come up before, so apologies if this is going over old ground. Our 10 year old son was diagnosed last year and the next step we feel is to tell him. We've heard from some parents in the same boat that telling them is a weight lifted as it gives them an explanation for their 'differences'. Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice or their experiences, I'm sure every case is different. Thanks in advance, Cilhaul.
Many thanks!

Hi, As you say, every case is different. Here is an article entitled ‘After an Autism Diagnosis: 13 Necessary Next Steps For Parents.’ http://www.thinkingautismguide.com/2017/03/after-autism-diagnosis-13-necessary.html
And here’s an article entitled, ‘Revealing the Diagnosis to an Autistic Child.’ http://www.autisticscholar.com/revealing-the-diagnosis/
I hope that helps. All the best, Graham
