would like to know about other peoples experiences so I have an idea on what to expect when the appointment comes through I can quite clearly see red flags so worried that they may not see what I see all day every day in one appointment

Hello, I’ve never taken a youngster for a diagnosis, so I can’t give you first hand advice.
It may be a good idea to keep a diary and note down all instances of what you think to be behaviour that isn’t typical.
