does anyone have experience of primary schools in East Sussex?

Hi, I'm looking to move to East Sussex, within a 20-mile radius of Hastings, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience of primary schools in this area?

I have a 4-yr old son with Asperger's, who will be entering Year 1 in September. He isn't statemented, but has been officially diagnosed, and I'm anxious to find a school for him which will be understanding, caring, accepting and suppportive.

If anyone has an ASC child or knows someone with an ASC child who has experience (either positive or negative!) of a particular primary school, I'd be really grateful if you'd be willing to share that with me. Thanks.

  • Hi,

when we moved 2 years ago we chose Framfield school near Uckfield. Our daughter has aspergers though not diagnosed at the time. The school were very good and while she was there managed school well. We only had about 2 days where she didn't want to go compared to every single day in North Yorkshire. The school also were behind us getting her assessed again. The senco for the school is lovely. There were some things we didn't like but overall we would choose the school again.

    Hope this helps :-)
