Teenage Girl not wanting an assessment

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can talk to my Teenage daughter about going for an assessment for High Functioning Autism?

Could you elaborate a bit more, such as why does she not want to go? Does she feel it's unnecessary, doesn't want to admit it to her self or possibly feels that she just can't cope? Who is suggesting that she should go? You, her school, or a doctor? A little more context would help people to give more specific replies.

I understand that this is an open forum so you won't want to give personal details away though.

  • Thanks, she doesn’t want to be different and isn’t wanting to acknowledge the issue she has and has said no to going. The stress levels in the house because of her behaviours has the family at breaking point.

I’m suggesting she goes an have an assessment booked,  I don’t know how to deal with her anymore. we are all at crisis point but getting her to the assessment is not going to be easy.

At school she Is mostly fine as she holds it together when there. It is at home behind closed doors that the majority of it happens.
