SEN advice

Hello,

its my understanding that the paediatrician will write a very brief letter to school and this info will mean the child is listed as having additional needs.  The parents will also give info to the school .  When a child moves to a different school this information would be passed on.  I do think parents have to check all of this is happening though ! Hope that helps.

The School we’re given the report six months ago and I’ve had nothing in terms of information re additional provision (that was recommended) or consent for his addition to the Sen register.

Could you organise a meeting with the SENco at school and check they are up to speed with things for him ? The senco in our school gave me info on a support charity and I’ve found the advice useful.  Good luck, we are the advocates and voices for our children x
