Hi all,
i know stimming is good for ASD children as long as not self harming. However, recently my girl has obsessive stimming by moving her fingers in front her eyes all day long. I am concerning by doing this she is shutting her world and no learning anything She is already seeing OT on a weekly basis, Amy advice on what can I do to help her please?

Is that stimming behaviour or is something else going on? I thought stimming was a sensory thing, although I guess sight is a sense.
Perhaps find alternate ways for her to occupy her fingers? Teach her to flip coins, get her a fidget spinner, give her handkerchiefs made from a coarse material?
