Books

My 10 year old daughter has autism but I don’t think she really understands anything about it. Does anyone know of any good books that will help her understand?

Also any good simple books to help explain sex education.

Hi NAS63718,

If you look at the 'After Diagnosis' page for children here on the site - https://www.autism.org.uk/about/diagnosis/children/recently-diagnosed.aspx - we have a few recommendations of books for helping your child understand their autism diagnosis (under the heading 'How should I tell my child?').

We also have some advice on sex education that you can find here - https://www.autism.org.uk/about/communication/sex-education/top-tips.aspx - which also has a list of recommended books at the bottom.
