Hi everyone,
Our 9 year old daughter is very recently diagnosed with autism and a mild learning disorder. She loves animals, specifically dogs. We are considering getting one however when we borrow a dog or someone lets her watch their dog at the park, she is so obsessed with it that she wants to do absolutely nothing else. Our concern is that if we get a dog, it will actually add to her stress when she has to be apart from it to go to school, meet with her tutor, go to a birthday party etc. Therefore it's a bit of a dilemma for us, if anyone has had a similar experience I'd greatly appreciate any advice, thank you!
