Hi
Don't know if anyone can help - we have been turned down about 4/5 times for higher rate mobility. We have an 11 yr old that was diagnosed with ASD when he was nearly 3. We gt high rate car but low rate mobility.
He now attends a special school after a7 yr fight to get him there. They have backed us by filling out the forms, we have sent off a copy of his statement, in fact we have sent them everything they have requested.
Can anyone come up with how we can get this sorted out? Our son has extreme behaviour, although not in school - out of school he will lick lamposts & traffic lights, road signs etc, I cannot send him on an errand, he has no monetary intelligence - by this i mean he knows what money is but has no understanding of the value etc.
If he can't have things he will bounce his head off a wall or the floor, often throwing himself on the floor in floods of tears.
I am at a loss at what to say 7 how to say it.
Thanks a stressed mum
