Hi, my 9yr old son has a diagnosis of Aspergers but with very complex other issues as well as being gifted. He has some sensory issues, is very manipulative and very sensitive. He has a statement but I feel the school are not taking it to heart. He absolutely loathes school, has caused major disruptions in the past and for a year has been flexi schooled. However, the school has asked for him to go back in full time this term which I'm not too sure about. We had an OT therapist making all sorts of recommendations to help my son through a school day, but the school seem oblivious to any of this and I'm feeling like they are paying lip service!!! I've asked for meetings but not had any luck and I just know that something is going to go horribly wrong and then we'll be back at square one AGAIN!! This is not helping my son to learn to enjoy school at all and I'm really frustrated! Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the school to take us seriously???
