My daughter started p1 in August. We thought she was fine. Then Oct hols came and she point blank refused go tantrums and tears every morning for month or so. I never let her stay off though hard buCryI knew she needed to go. She was also acting up in school ie crying a few times a day I was told this few weeks after it started and I had called school day back when she  was first upset at home asCryt was not like her. We had a meeting with head in Dec and discussed things little( her class teacher was also off due injury she was back after xmas) I even took her to dentist so she got a day off school as if had a point for myself and asked if they would see her also as she  was refusing eat spitting out smearing and hiding foods.  Speech therapist referal was made then as we were not sure how much she was understanding as she'd get upset at simple things ie they asked her if she wanted wear leggings under her concert out fit to keep warm or go without( did this visual also) and she burst  in tears. She had her home worknstopped in Jan Feb as she was just saying random words ( teacher as said at meeting a lot of random words completely out of context) she can finally count 0 to 10 and just started recognising them. She's 6yrs and 2 months old. Head said at meeting the did an assessment to test her understand8ng and it put her at 3yrs and 8 month. We wrote an action plan and I wRage given the neurodevelopent assessment to fill in and a referal to occupational therapy as were wondering if her habits with food are behavioural she does had food allergies but is now able to have alot more than when she was younger. I have no idea what expect now and they drive me insane asking what I wanted them to do I am no expert and I myself as an adult was just diagnosed in Sept as asd. is the child assessment similar adult and roughly how long does it take. I will have discuss what put on form with daughter's dad and go into school and get there help that they offered. Sensory came up a lot at the meeting also. We had me and her dad there here class teacher school nurse ( concerns over weight and height) and speech therapist and head teacher dietician couldn't make it but sent a report witch was false so annoyed me also .
