Stress Hives

Hurricane 1973

Does anyone’s child suffer from stress hives??? If so is this what they look like, sorry if anyone finds photos distressing. My 8 year old son has had them for the first time, and I’m just very concerned. His school is expecting him to go into an assembly tomorrow for mother’s day and sing. I believe he has stressed about it and tonight he came out in this rash, which he has now been treated for and seen.

  • I can't see the picture but used to suffer with a similar reaction to what you are describing myself. In extreme y stressful situation s I would get what's known as 'angiodema', I'd come up in random red swelling including eyes and lips at its worst I was admitted and treated with steroids the cause was never discovered and put down to an extreme stress reaction. Not sure If its the same but you should get it checked out by a Go and if lip swelling ring 999

    Thank you for replying, I did speak to 111 and there was no swelling around mouth. This morning all cleared up. I just wondered if anyone else suffered, because this was the first time I’d experienced it with my son. They wouldn’t let me upload the photos x
