I am updating my will and am planning to set up a Disabled Person's Trust to hold my estate on my death. I have one son (an only child) with Aspergers. My problem is in finding trustworthy Trustees with a longevity of 30-40 years after my death. I am looking at Mind and Mencap charities who can offer this service. My biggest problem with them is that their fees seem quite large. These fees are on top of the Fund Financial Management Fee. Has anyone else faced this problem? I would appreciate any ideas of how to find a trustworthy organisation that I can use. I have been let down by solicitors who have lost paperwork and/or closed down so am wary of using them. There is no family member who can take on this role.
