Increased reactions to noise

Hi

My 8 year old daughter who we are sure is asd has recently started having issues with sound, she has always been a very jumpy nervous child easily startled by sudden loud noises but over the last month this has got drastically worse this morning she literally jumped in a hedge when a lorry drove past us, she has also started having issues focusing in class when other children are talking she can't pick out what the teacher is saying as she can't seem to tune out the other noises. It is not all noise that bothers her as she will quite happily play noisy games (if she wants)  or listen to her music loudly.

Is it normal for sensory issues to develop/ worsen as they grow up? She has also started having an issue with touch. She gets very angry when her sister tries to hug her (we do try to keep this to a minimum)  but last night she came downstairs (sleep walking)  and started screaming about being grabbed! When I got her back in bed she couldn't stand her blankets touching her ( she choose these blankets as likes the texture) so I am just really confused at the moment

Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated!!
