Hi,
my daughter is very afraid of the hand dryer in most of the public toilets here. She refuse to wear noise cancellation headphone. Going out now can be a nightmare due to toilets.
anyone has any tips or advice?
thanks!
I agree handriers are a nightmare, the very thought of one has put my son off using the loo when we are out and has been a recurring problem at school (we selected the school because they used paper towels!).
When we are out we use the disabled or mother and baby loos (always), this way we can control the sounds and he feels 'in control', we always carry a small flannel in my bag just in case of no hand towels in loo.
Best wishes x
They’re such hazardous things aren’t they?! Surely in this day of modern technology there must be a way to make them less noisy?
Same thing happened to my nearly three year old. He hasn't been changed in a public changing room in I don't know how long.
Good idea! To be honest I much prefer to use paper hand towels to dry my hands, its more hygienic too but i suspect that most councils would not fund them in all public toilets, sadly.
Today I was thinking about this issue on the loud noise. Feel like writing a letter to the provider to reinvent the products!
My daughter hates them to, we use the baby change toilets (normally have a toilet in for toddlers) and I keep antibacterial gel with me instead
Hi, my neurotypical 4 year old has been terrified of hand driers since one accidentally went off above her head when she was two months old. I try to use disabled toilets (available in most department stores) if available and don’t use the drier myself, queen of drip drying my hands these days!!
