Meeting family support worker really nervous.

Guess I'm posting as I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with a family support worker before, I am terrified about her coming to my home tomorrow.

We have been trying to get my daughter assessed for asd for a while now and thanks to botched referrals and badly phrased letters She was rejected by the child development centre, so our school nurse has set up an early help plan to support re-referral. This means that we are being assigned a family support worker, I suffer from anxiety as well as physical health problems and I HATE letting anyone in my house, mostly as I struggle with housework (physically hurts and so tired as daughter up all night) don't get me wrong it's clean but a mess!

I have had less than great experiences with social services years ago and I am terrified this woman will be the same I have been assured they are different but...

Has anyone dealt with this service are they indeed different or are they just someone else to look down at me and mess my daughter around?
