Early Bird Plus - Information Evenings?

Hi everyone - I'm new here.  My son has just been diagnosed with autism and so I'm just finding my feet!

We've been we can attend an Early Bird Plus course - I rang Surrey County Council to put our names on the waiting list.  I was told I have to attend a local information evening before we can actually apply - but no one seems to be able to tell me how to find an information evening!!  I've been round and round in circles - can anyone help me??

I'm desperate to get on a course as soon as possible as my son is due to start school in September - his reception teacher has said she's willing to attend as well.

Thank you for reading!

  • Hi Karen

I don't know about the Early Bird Plus Course or what a local information evening is. My son is 12 yrs old and has just been diagnosed with ASD.

The best place to get some info may be the Surrey NAS email discussion group. Go to the website http://www.mugsy.org and select 'Contact Us' on the left and fill out the contact form.

I know there's a 'Living with Autism' evening workshop in Godalming coming up in September.
