Hi,
I am new to all of this and my son goes to Normal Mainstream school (Primary year 5) What I am wondering is there anywhere or place I can look up or find out what support a school can give for a child with ADHD/ ASD. I've been fighting for 3 years with the school saying there is more to my son then just misbehaving and my parenting ( Forced us to take parenting classes we have 7 children between us and trust me we know how to parent and know when something is quite right) Finally after 3 years fighting my son got a One On One TA and with that and new meds for ADHD he is doing school work... But took us 3 years to get here only because I kept pushing and pushing and standing my ground.. Now that we know my son has been diagnosed ADHD/ASD I again have to push for the school to HELP/SUPPORT my son.. I want to make sure I have all support I can get to help my son have a productive and yet fun day at school without coming home frustrated and upset because he keeps getting in trouble for things he can't understand also told me this in his own words...
Any advice would be appreciated
