Would like some advice/info please.
My son is 9 years old and he's autistic and non verbal. He's only on middle rate care DLA.
I checked on my local council website, to be eligible for a disabled young person bus pass somebody needs to be on the high rate care component, and proof of disability includes without speech and have learning disability. He's without speech (non verbal) and have learning disability. And for obvious reasons he's unable to travel around by himself.
Anybody knows if he or I'll (as a carer/companion) be eligible for free bus pass? Anybody in similar situation?
