My daughter was in set 1 for all subjects first year high school, her main setbacks were comprehension and noise distractions in class and tests. This issue has been raised several times. She has now been dropped to set 3 at the start of her second year for or all subjects except maths where the teacher is strict with noise ie chairs, pens etc.
The school pastoral support will not provide support in this matter and have said they will see how she gets on even tho the teachers had reassured us any change would be unlikely.
I am worried her sensitivity to distractions will continue and her test results will drop even further because of it. She is also now likely to be in a class with another child she has had problems with throughout primary school.
Advise required please. I am very concerned thanks
