My boy scared to go any where in house on own!!!

Hi, had a prev discussion but no replies :-(  regarding my son's recent behaviour!

But one thing i wanted to see if any one else goes thro is,

Being afraid of going anywhere in the house alone!! Day or night (hard at bedtime)

Bless him he wont even go to the toliet or his room alone.  Ive tried asking him why, he just says hes scared & worried. But never says what of.  He also says its because he just loves being close to me.

He has recently been diagnosed with ASD, and is 5 years old.if any one reads this and has advice, eould u mind reading my other post 'behaviour since diagnosis'

  • hi my daughter did exactly the same, especially going upstairs on own and she said just the same that it was scary etc in the end we stood at the bottom of the stairs and sang a song she likes ,this worked ,and also as weird as it seems we had to pretend that one of our arms stretched up with her, this made her feel comfortable and over time she went up on her own, it did take a long time though!
