We’ve just been sent paperwork to fill out and send off, while waiting for an initial appointment in the assessment process.
My daughter turns 14 in 2 days. Already we are concerned about her being assessed at school. Do you know how this is done? My daughter has said she will act like everyone else if she knows someone’s watching! This won’t give a true representation of her in a classroom setting though, will it?
Shes a master at hiding her problems at school, and we see her true self once she’s home . I’ve been in touch with the school nurse about her problems, and had a few home visits with her. She’s doesn’t seem concerned. I’ve also spoken to my daughters tutor to give feedback from any staff who teach my daughter, and he came back with no issues. She’s always described as a liked and quiet member of the class, who is ‘a pleasure to teach’. I’m really worrried no one will see the bigger picture, and she won’t get the help and support she needs.
Can anyone tell me roughly what to expect from the assessment process?
