Hello All
My 16 year old has been diagnosed with Aspergers and I was hoping for some advice from you wonderful experienced lot!
Official clinical diagnosis was only delivered yesterday and no other info was forthcoming, 'Do some research online' was as good as it got, until our next appointment which will discuss therapies/options.
What has been bothering me though, is, do I need to tell anyone?? By that I mean organizations. He has officially left school, currently sitting his GCSEs and hoping for a place at local college....he has a tranistion specialist in place at our CAMHs to help with this move to college, but is there any official bodies I should inform??
Any other tips/hints would be welcome! Even though I have known for a long long time that he probably was AS, and I have researched lots, I still feel a little lost....like 'Yea, so heres a label for him and his idyosyncrasises, byeee!'
