Huge problem for us at the moment. 14 yr with OCD and aspergers....
We've tried all ways but he pretty much does what he wants when he wants. Rules dont seem to matter to him.
We try to be flexible for him but, of course, there have to be rules. He will do ANYTHING and lie and manipulate to get what he wants. We've had to lock cupboard/bedrooms to stop him getting at things. We're getting a plumber in to fit a cut-off switch because he will not spend less than an hour in the shower (no hot water for anyone else).
Hes ruined the flooring in one bathroom - likes to soak things to get them clean. Even though we told him he cant do that. Hes will trash any public bathroom he goes in - pretty much he soaks the entire place. He once managed to trash a bathroom on a plane and it was out of order for the rest of the flight.
Hes very manipulative and pretty much every day he lies about something.
Yes hes ill but we're at the stage now where some of his rule breaking is causing a real problem.
We've tried sitting him down and explaining but he just gets nasty.
