Hi, I have a daughter with asd and moderate learning difficulties and she is very lonely. I am desperate to find her some sort of social group > My daughter needs friends her own age and to be independant of me if only for a short while each week .
I would be so grateful if anyone could help me find something , we live in glasgow but woukd be willing to travel just outwith if needed .
Thanks
Online Video games like Minecraft, Roblox and other age appropriate games with headset might be a solution as it will allow her to vocally communicate to others and learn social edicate and how to cooperative work with others in game at the moment with the pandemic going on.
Have you contacted these people?....

Also, another organisation that you and/or daughter might like to try is....
Hi,
Been looking at what services we list in the Glasgow area and there's clearly a lack of really comprehensive social support for teenagers who need services to help develop social skills and make friends.
There are social groups in Glasgow aimed at people aged 16+ and befriending services. It may be worth speaking to them and seeing what is available and if they have ideas about what could be on offer.
You can search for services in our directory at this address -

I can share a search result sadly, due to the way the system works, but seemed to find the most leads by looking in services > play and lesiure.
Hope that can help
