Not receiving e-mail notifications?

Not had any for many months - I've given up asking - the system obviously doesn't work properly and how many times does it take to fix something.

thanks for confirming though :-)  I'm not sure whether to be anxious because of the non-received mails or whether to be anxious about the potential avalanche of mails that might show up in my email inbox one day if they are switched on. I'd like to run a smoke test through to check all is well. 

I was always worried even if I get them, they can stop at any moment.
