It is not illegal to discuss illegal things

From my other thread mod comment "As this thread has previously discussed illegal content the moderators have decided to close this thread."

Cannabis possession/supply/cultivation is currently illegal in UK jurisdictions yes (I hope to see it legalised in this country before I die) but talking about the use of cannabis is certainly not (as long as the use of illegal drugs is not condoned or encouraged of course which in my other thread was not). I would have thought discussion of things like sex and drugs should be open and encouraged for education and to encourage those who need help to seek help.

From my own life my family are totally anti-drug and won't discuss them with me at all, my social worker (who has never even used alcohol in her life) just judges so there really isn't anyone offline to speak to about drugs. I actually lose an offline friend because I made the mistake of telling her I used cannabis she then said "you use drugs leave me alone!" kindof ironic IMO since she got drunk a lot and alcohol is a hard drug.

It's all about stigma IMO and that really sucks and shuts down discussion. As well as fear of the unknown. Some people don't know much about cannabis and to them it's just a drug and to them "drugs are bad" (except alcohol of course which ironically is one of the worst, but because it's socially acceptable people are happy to overlook how bad it really is).
