girls 'n' boys

A friend just posted this video from Channel4:

The kids are presumably all NTs and it's quite funny but I (female, although perhaps not terribly feminine) would be totally like the boys.

How do you think you would react/have reacted? Feeling somewhat bad now if this really is what empathy is, in that case I'm completely lacking it, although, to be fair, if I were the woman making the lemonade I would also want others to be like the boys....

  • It seems that empathy (as being the ability to understand and share the feelings of another) has been mistaken for sympathy (as being the ability to understand and feel sorrow for others misfortune).

It could be argued that the boys demonstrated more empathy in that they had to be sold the product more in terms of not being so trusting, and the girls were more trusting and by defualt alot more sympathetic.

The female guardian providing the purposefully 'over-salted' lemonade of course demonstrated little or no sympathy for the children.

As a physiological male with female psychological traits and/or Aspersgers Syndrome - I am more prone or amenable to the direct approach of truth-telling myself.
